Who are we?

Les Soirées de Blauzac, an association (law 1901 - W302009239), was created in January 2012, by a group of volunteers, residents of Blauzac and music lovers. The association produces a 3 day summer jazz festival and occasional musical events in the winter.

The essential objective is to assure the longevity of an open air jazz festival Jazz à Blauzac on the church square the first week-end of July. A huge band of volunteers from the village help to make this happen.

In winter the association has put on a variety of musical events with free entry, in the village church. One of the principal objectives of Les Soirées de Blauzac is to make sure that its concerts and festival are accsessible to all, and so has put in place a policy of membership and sponsoriship to achieve this. It also believes that it is fundemental to include the population of the village, in particular the music school students and local businesses, in its actions.

Early in 2015 the association was proud to announce that it had recieved accreditation from the Pont du Gard on the 30th anniversary of its inclusion on the list of UNESCO World heritage sites. This accreditation must be shared with all thoses that have worked so hard for 8 years to create this popular and quality festival: the committee, the volunteers, the town council and of course the musiciens themselves.
