1st part - Soleil Nomade

 

Gypsy Jazz, Flamenco

Five musicians (guitars, double bass, saxo, vocals) from many different horizons come together to take us on a journey of colurful music… They create a musical universe  full of nuances, with original compositions: a gypsy inspiration, a nod to flamenco, some brazilian sun... Sung gypsy music is not so common and the festival team did not hesitate a second before deciding to explore this exciting universe.

2nd part - Remi Harris

 

Gypsy Jazz

Remi Harris is an extraordinairy young guitarist from Great Britain whose unique style has been inspired by Gypsy, Swing, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal, Electronic and World Music. He has toured throughout the world appearing (amongst others) at Buckingham Palace, the Festival de Jazz of Montreal, at the Royal Albert Hall with Jamie Cullum, on BBC 4 telvision and live on BBC Radio 2 and 3... In other words a phenomenon, as talented as a blues player, or a gypsy player !

3rd part - Costel Nitescu Quartet

 

Jazz & Gypsy Swing 

A violinist of Romanian origins, with classical training, Costel was at 16 years old the first violin of the Radio Bucarest National Orchestra. In Paris for the last 15 years, he has travelled with his bow to all the jazz stages of Europe,  where his sense of Swing and his capacitiy for improvisation have made him the best imitator of Stéphane Grappelli. A closing concert that we will no doubt  talk of for years to come.
